Prosecution Dismissed

In United States v. Townsend, our client was pulled over by state police for a traffic violation along a highway in Ohio.
After a determination that several innocent factors added up to criminal conduct, my client´s vehicle was searched, and contraband found. We argued that the search was improper, in violation of the Fourth Amendment.
The Sixth Circuit agreed, holding that the evidence could not be used in court. The client´s charges were dismissed!

13 Plus Years Given Back

In United States v. Dalton, we filed a 28 U.S.C. § 2255 motion, challenging the defendant´s conviction and sentence for drug trafficking. The Court upheld the conviction, but did grant us a resentencing. At the new sentencing, Dalton´s sentence was reduced from 360 to 200 months!
